The WARRP method deploys a large number of stand-alone stations along a line or grid. Recorded data are compiled in Common Station Gathers, where different reduction velocities and display approaches help identify arrivals and reflections that might otherwise remain hidden.

Hypocentre distributions from local seismic networks allow active faults to be identified more precisely and support the interpretation of active tectonic processes. GeoSyn uses local seismic velocity models when determining earthquake parameters.

GeoSyn's modelling approach uses a full 3D grid discretised into rectangular prisms. Geological and geophysical information can be incorporated into the model, supporting the acquisition and interpretation of marine, land and airborne gravity and magnetic data.
